GIVEAWAY TIME!!!

This time last year was super exciting, as I was debuting my first picture book. It’s a labor of love to illustrate a picture book….one that I consider awesome and amazing and something I’d do again and again and again.

Today, I’m giving away THREE signed copies of A CHRISTMAS GOODNIGHT!

This sweet story was written in the style of Goodnight Moon, where the reader is saying goodnight to all the Nativity characters….first to the real life story, and then to his own Christmas surroundings.

It’s a sweet, simple lullaby text, not complex and narrative, but one that makes for a perfect bedtime story.

hello!! i recently got this book for my little girl (almost 3) and SHE LOVES IT! she wants to read it almost every nap and bedtime. It is so sweet and simple. I had the hardest time finding Christmas books centered on Jesus. I’m still fine with all the Santa, Rudolph and Snowman books, of course, but I also want to include the true meaning of Christmas into our holiday reading. we love this book, and would love to win to gift to my sister’s little family.

Beyond our tree, most of our holiday decorating this year has been children’s Christmas books I’ve collected over the years all over the house. I refuse to get my granchildren books about Santa Clause. We didn’t have Santa Clause when my children were growing up, but we celebrated Christmas. Well my daughter thinks she was deprived for life because of this, so they have gone 180 degrees and at their house. Christmas is ALL about Santa Clause. I still have many of the books from my children’s growing up years and they center on the Christmas story. They are always out during December for the granchildren to pick through and bring them to me to read. My son does not think we harmed him in any way. When he gets married some day I will give him most of the books. I know he will read them to his children. I would love to win this book as Goodnight Moon was always such a favorite of my daughter’s and has been a favorite of my granddaughter’s. I think it might get read at their house. I would absolutely love to have this for my children! Its so hard to find things that express the true meaning of the season! I went into a store today that had tons of Christmas stuff, books, villages, ornaments etc and not the first thing that anything to do with the birth of Christ! I was very put off by this and am trying very hard to instill the real reason for Christmas in my kids. I have also liked the Facebook page.
