Oh wow. In my hand I am holding keys to a new house! A yard. A front door. Trees. Our own kitchen. Our FIRST house.
Granted, it’s an older home. And needs a lot of TLC. But we have a lot of love goin’ on….
We spent the weekend ripping up flooring, chair rails, cleaning, prepping….
Well, my husband did 99% of it. He’s super hot covered in dust and using power tools.
And I have a new golden key on my keyring. It’s surreal.

Despite all of the hard parts, renovating our first (100 year old) home & making it our own was one of the most enjoyable & creative (not to mention addicting) things we have undertaken. Best of luck, looking forward to before & after photos

Congrats on your new home… I’m still waiting on the builder to finish up with mine (even though they just told me there will be another delay). Anyway I had to post as I’m anxiously anticipating the joy you’re feeling right now! Other than that I absolutely adore your work… you have such talent!
Congratulations again on your new home, it is so exciting! We are in the process of selling ours, admittedly with a heavy heart! It was our first ‘proper’ home, a ‘do-er upper’. We have made it beautiful, but with three children (under 5!) we are now bursting at the seams!
