But mom, I was just trying to make the couch look pretty!

Ya. Famous last words after her affair with a purple crayon.

That isn’t the crayon in her mouth…it’s a straw. But this is the “I’m gonna be funny” face that she thinks can get her out of trouble:) Why do kids have to be so cute even when they destroy furniture?

    Oh no!
Yes I’ve heard that before, lol.
Have you tried the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser? Those things are life-savers and can get out almost anything! I even got permanent Sharpie marker off of our dining table with one.

Kasie: yes…I am about ready to go and get Mr. Clean again. Problem is…he cleans a little too well:) better to have clean marks on your couch versus purple marks:)

My oldest made a lipstick cake on the couch when she was four. Same thing, “Isn’t it pretty, Mom?”

My boys emptied a bottle of red nail polish onto our sofa cushions one morning when I was pregnant with Henri and having a sleep in. It wasn’t a nice surprise to wake up to.

Just be sure to keep the nail polish WAY out of reach!

My 16 month old daughter just discovered that crayons make marks and not only colored our couch with a green crayon yesterday but colored her legs and forehead, then proceeded to try and color me. She was so proud of herself. It was hard to tell her to stop. :) Lucky for me, they washed right off the couch and her.
