This is a PRECIOUS picture of your beautiful children. I love it! I love the contrast between the oldest’s chocolate brown eyes, and Ella’s soft blue ones. They are all such dolls! I only have one child right now, but it is a daily struggle to even get him to look into the camera. He has learned all of my tricks, like “there is a car inside mommy’s camera.” (He loves cars) I still haven’t been able to capture that “just so perfect I can’t stand it” shot of him. Hopefully soon…
Family picture–no problem, because I just have someone else do it. Three (or four, in my case) kids all looking in the same direction AT THE SAME TIME for a picture of them–I am lucky to get ONE a year. Congrats on meeting that milestone early this year!
GREAT picture!!!! And, yes. I have SIX so getting a good family photo can be challenging!!! I find they usually come out better if everybody is outside. Forget the inside thing!!
Oh my gosh Sara, I know exactly what you mean!! Thank goodness for digital cameras. I do a group photo every year of my 4 kids to use as a group invitation(all b-days are close together, each 2 yrs. apart- so we have one big family party). Everyone holds their own card with their upcoming age….great in theory, but BRUTAL in practice, I will have to post about it one time. It is an exercise in frustration each year, but sooo worth it:)
I did a plasticine illo for a friend who has 5 kids depicting this very dilemma. If you get a chance, pop over to my blog to view it (suzannedelrizzo.blogspot.com)entitled “The lollipops saved the Day”
Such a lovely photo of your kiddies, that’s a keeper for sure!

I love reading all of your comments and getting your sweet emails! I try my best to add my own comments in the comment section and answer any questions you have there. I also love your emails, and do my best to get back to you! I'm a busy mom, and can't always get back as quickly as I'd like, but I certainly do my best.
impossible
It was worth the effort though! How beautiful and alive they all look!
Perfect.
Ella looks a little scared of her crazy siblings. I miss your family! We should get together soon!

What a great photo!
I agree that it is near impossible to get a family photo where everyone is looking ‘decent.’ Kudos to you for not giving up!
