Quiet Time.

I had forgotten how a newborn gives me such an added awareness of life all around me. Breastfeeding is God’s gift to mothers as it forces us to sit down a while, making life slow into it’s proper pace. And good thing too. As life gets more full, quiet reflection is the prescribed remedy. Ahhhhhhh…..I’ll take some more of that please!

So true! I loved those regular, quiet breaks during the day. No matter where I was I had the most beautiful view in the world! :)

I have 3 children that I nursed (17, 6, 3) and not until just now when I read your post, did I realize that God’s gift to nursing women was the notion that we will take the time to sit, lie down, rest while we nurse. Thinking back, those were times that I actually took a moment to breath, and think about the wonder of this beautiful thing looking up at me. Bless you for making me stop and appreciate those long gone moments, but precious memories.

I never understood women who said they didn’t have time to breastfeed? It is so crucial for you and your baby. Well said, thank you!
